It’s not so crystal clear when it comes to my faith. 

I was grew up with traditional Roman Catholic beliefs but as I grew up, I became unsure of what I believed in. I don’t agree with many things in Catholic teaching such as the teaching that marriage should only be between a man and a woman. Religion has many flaws but only because humans have many flaws. I know that many unfortunate things happened in the world because of differences in religions. People are using religion to separate each other, rather than unite us together. 

I still identify myself as a Catholic even though I have doubts. I still go to church regularly and pray. I pray for that one day ignorance will disappear and that everyone will be free to love and marry who they choose, and that all different types of people will be able to live together despite their differences. 

For me, regardless of religion, everyone should follow the Golden Rule:

“Treat others as you would like to be treated.”
